Will I have to miss out on School or Work?

Unfortunately it is not possible to undertake a full course of orthodontic treatment without missing some school or work. Priority for after school appointments is given to special needs children, senior (Year 12) pupils and those who travel a long way. Priority is also given to those with braces on who are attending frequently.

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

Orthodontic treatment time varies in accordance with the complexity of the problem and the amount of correction desired. The average orthodontic treatment lasts 2 years. Your orthodontist will advise you of an estimated treatment time from the outset, and update you when possible throughout treatment.

How much does orthodontic treatment cost?

We aim to provide orthodontic treatment at a reasonable fee. The treatment fee will vary according to the difficulty of the treatment involved. This fee is generally broken down into monthly installments over two years to make it as manageable as possible for patients, parents and families.

What happens if I am late or I miss my appointment?

If a patient arrives late for an appointment and we see them, then we are likely to run behind schedule for all following patients. This is unfair to other patients who arrive on time. If we are running late, it is inevitably because a patient has arrived late, and we always strive to run on time. To help us, we ask that you be on time for your appointment, or accept that we may have to reschedule your appointment.

If you miss or forget an appointment, a new appointment will be rescheduled and posted or emailed to you. This will likely be six to eight weeks later and during school time. There is a fee charged for second and subsequent failed appointments.
